Don't Want To Run On Hills Today? Head On Over To Fletcher Park For A Flat Run!

We have a saying that "the flattest running route in Asheville doesn't necessarily mean that it's  flat". With hills practically everywhere you look, it's great to find a nice easy flat route to add a  little variety to our run.  This weekend we had a great flat run at Fletcher Park.  If you've never been there, you might want to check it out...

Fletcher Park is recognized as one of the best family parks in Western North Carolina. With restrooms, water fountains, and trails, it's the perfect place for a "no hill" run. There's even a doggie park if you want a place for your 4 legged running pal to be off leash.  Fletcher Park also has beautiful arboretum gardens and a small wild bird and water fowl refuge if you'd like to spend a little time bird watching.  The "Outer Loop and Greenway Extention"  would be a 2.14 mile running route.

After our run and  hanging out at the park, we headed to Fletcher Village Bakery  for some great home made bagels and scones...
