We've found that yoga is a great way to compliment our running, and for several years we've incorporated yoga to strengthen our core and improve flexibility. Sage Roundtree's book The Athlete's Pocket guide to Yoga is comprehensive and covers everything we need in one tidy little book. It includes warm-up and cool-downs for workouts, strength routines, restorative routines, flexibility sessions, breathing exercises and meditations.
Sage Roundtree is a registered yoga teacher, athlete, and coach. She holds coaching certifications with USA Triathlon, Road Runners Club of America, and USA Cycling. She writes for Runner's World and Yoga Journal Online, and is the author of The Athlete's Guide to Yoga book and DVD.
