Foot RX always has fun ideas to get runners out to do something a little different and raise money at the same time...
This month's $5 5k was a 2-person relay at Fletcher Park, and 100% of the entry fees went to River Link.
So a 2-person relay in itself isn't such a novel idea, but run at 6:30 pm, in the dark with head lamps, on a course lit by glow sticks, now that was fun!
Bart and I have been primarily doing our runs over hilly routes at a slow pace, so it was fun to run at Fletcher Park which is flat as a pancake, and we couldn't help but try to put in our best effort to keep up and follow all the bouncy lights from the head lamps up ahead of us! It felt good to get out and just run like kids!
Foot RX raised $160 for River Link.
