Everyday responsibilities of life will only allow a certain amount of hours to train, so my plan is to focus on the long runs and do all of my runs over hills, hills, and more hills, and one day a week do a hill workout.
One huge advantage of running this marathon again is knowing the course and being mentally prepared for the out and back section along the river for the last 5 miles of the race. Nothing was more difficult for me than running across the French Broad River Bridge, seeing the finish line, then having to run away from it for 2 1/2 miles only to turn around and run back. Ahhhh, but this time I will be ready.
As for the Bartman, He's ready. He's training is up, and he's planning on running in the Harbison 50 K in January. So it's time for me to get busy and hopefully stay healthy...
