Asheville Track Club Resolution Run 5k

Race start on Busbee Road
What a great way to start off the new year with happy upbeat friends, renewing old acquaintances, and perfect running temperatures.  In addition to watching the Twilight Zone marathon on TV, we have been planning on running in the Asheville Track Club's Resolution Run for several weeks.  The race start time was 2pm, and the weather was perfect,  mid 40's with a drizzly rain.  We thought, well let's set out and join anyone else that may show up for this run. We figured maybe 15-20 people would come out since it was raining.  To our surprise, we were wrong...

The Resolution Run is a low key 5k fun run held in the township of Biltmore Forest, free of charge to Asheville Track Club members.  Non-members could also join the track club prior to the race to participate.  Many thanks to club treasurer Dolly McLean for putting on such a great run and to all the volunteers, friends, and  fellow runners for helping us start the new year on a positive note. Happy New Year!
